Honduras thesis repositories: how to search

The clearest public starting point is UNAH's Tz'ibal Naah, which includes a thesis collection. For other institutions, look for library, repository, research or graduate-study sections on the official domain. If no public repository exists, ask the program for access and do not assume a third-party page is institutional.
A previous thesis can help identify vocabulary, approaches, instruments and structures used in a program. It does not prove that the same format remains current or authorize copying text, tables or data.
UNAH's Tz'ibal Naah repository
Tz'ibal Naah is the documentary repository of the National Autonomous University of Honduras. Its thesis community includes undergraduate and graduate work and can be browsed by date, author, title and subject.
Use each item record to verify author, date, type, faculty, abstract and license. PDF access does not remove citation duties or mean every reuse is permitted.
How to search other institutions
The Directorate of Higher Education recognizes 22 IES. Not all provide a public thesis collection with a stable URL. To avoid attributing the wrong repository:
- Open the official domain from our university directory.
- Look for “library,” “repository,” “research,” “publications” or “graduate studies.”
- Confirm that the domain or subdomain belongs to the institution.
- Check whether records identify author, year, program and document type.
- If access is not public, contact the library or program directly.
Do not confuse a library catalog with full-text access. Google Drive, Scribd or a personal account should not be treated as the university-approved version.
Useful Google Scholar and web searches
Combine a topic and domain:

In Google Scholar, use date ranges and “Cited by” to move from a thesis to later articles. Always inspect the original document.
How to evaluate a thesis
- Does it match the level, program and document type?
- Do its date, standards, data or technology make it outdated?
- Are the problem, population and context comparable?
- Can cited sources be retrieved?
- Is the method documented well enough?
- Does the file state a license or rights notice?
A thesis is background evidence, not automatic authority. Prefer original articles, standards and official data for factual claims.
Search log
Create a table with query, platform, date, filters, reviewed results and inclusion reason. For each document, save the full reference, permanent link, notes and potential quotations with page numbers. This makes the review reproducible and reduces lost references.
