It works as a base. If your program has an institutional title page or changes margins or spacing, adjust those elements to its guide: your program's guide takes precedence over APA.
How do I update the table of contents?
Right-click the table of contents and choose “Update Field”. It is built from headings that use the Heading 1, Heading 2 and Heading 3 styles.
Does it work in Google Docs?
Yes, you can open it in Google Docs or LibreOffice, but the automatic table of contents works best in Microsoft Word.
